Privacy Policy

Overview

Reign (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a personal finance tool that helps you understand your financial picture and build a plan for financial independence. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we store it, and your rights over it.

Data we collect

Information you provide

When you use Reign, you may provide your age, income, savings, debts, retirement goals, and other financial details through our intake wizard. This data is used solely to generate your personalized financial Outlook.

Bank account data via Plaid

If you choose to connect your bank accounts, we use Plaid Technologies, Inc. to securely access your financial institution. Through Plaid we may receive:

Account balances and account names
Transaction history (up to 12 months)
Loan and credit account details (interest rates, balances)
Investment holdings

We never see or store your bank login credentials. Plaid handles authentication directly with your financial institution. By connecting your accounts you also agree to Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy.

Account information

If you create an account, we store your email address and the date you signed up. We use Supabase for authentication — your password is never stored in plain text.

How we use your data

To generate your personalized financial Outlook and plan
To provide AI-generated insights, briefs, and alerts about your finances
To display your connected account balances and transaction history within the app
To improve the accuracy of our financial analysis over time

We do not sell your data. We do not share your financial data with third parties except as required to operate the service (Plaid for bank connections, Supabase for secure storage, Google for AI analysis).

How we store and protect your data

All data is stored in Supabase (SOC 2 Type II certified), encrypted at rest using AES-256
All data in transit is encrypted via TLS
Bank access tokens are stored server-side only and are never sent to your browser
Row-level security ensures you can only access your own data
We retain transaction data for up to 12 months

Your rights

You have the right to:

Disconnect any linked bank account at any time from the Accounts page
Request a copy of all data we hold about you
Delete your account and all associated data yourself, from Settings
Request deletion by email if you prefer

To request data export or deletion, email us at privacy@meetreign.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent — we cannot restore a deleted account.

When you delete your account, we erase:

Your login and profile
Everything you entered — income, spending, assets, debts, goals, and plan
Details of household members you added, including their names and ages
All connected account data: balances, transactions, and investment holdings
Your Outlooks, briefs, notifications, scenarios, and conversations with the agent

We also revoke each linked bank connection with Plaid, so their access ends rather than simply becoming invisible to you, and we cancel any active subscription so you are not billed again.

What we keep: our payment processor (Stripe) retains your billing and invoice records, including the name and any address given at checkout. We are required to keep these as financial records for tax and accounting purposes, and they are held by Stripe rather than in our own systems. We also keep operational logs of AI requests with your identity removed, so they can no longer be linked back to you.

AI and data processing

Reign uses Google Gemini to generate financial analysis and insights. Financial summaries — not raw account data — are sent to the AI model for processing. We do not use your personal financial data to train AI models.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the app. Continued use of Reign after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
